Metropolitan Museum of Art Library shelflist of books bequeathed to the Museum by Edward C. Moore, and by his son, Edward C. Moore, Jr., [before 1930].

The Moore shelflist card file (no longer extant) contained 362 titles comprising more than 500 volumes, chiefly of nineteenth-century books on the decorative arts, but also including issues of the Art journal (London) for 1862-1864 and a run of the Portfolio (1870-1877). The number of titles reflects individual catalog records created by the Library, some of which comprise multiple exhibition or collection catalogs issued by a given institution, each of which could be considered as a separate work. The Library's Accession book 2 records Edward C. Moore's 1891 bequest; it is entered on Feb. 19, 1892 and lists 331 titles, comprising 429 volumes. Accession book 5 includes four additional books bequeathed by Edward C. Moore; they are entered on the following dates: May 8, 1911; Jan. 31, 1914. Accession book 12 records one book bequeathed by Edward C. Moore; it is entered on May 1, 1935. Accession book 6 records the items bequeathed by Edward C. Moore, Jr.; they are entered on the following dates: Mar. 9 and 23, 1915; Apr. 20 and 23, 1915; Nov. 22, 1916.
